NORTHERN LIGHTS FESTIVAL BORÉAL
Northern Lights Festival Boréal, a non- profit organization, is currently seeking an Executive Director for a two year period commencing October 15, 2012 and ending October 15, 2014.
EXPERIENCE
- The successful candidate must be a highly organized individual with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in event and festival management.
- Post-secondary education in the field of Event Management and/or a related relevant discipline(s).
- Excellent communication skills including oral and written. French language skills an asset.
- Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining a 200 plus volunteer base while continuing to grow the volunteer base as needed.
- Oversight and supervision of contract and seasonal staff.
- Maintain and build a strong corporate and private sponsorship and revenue base within the community.
- Promote Northern Lights Festival Boréal’s mandate to work with and support various other organizations within the community.
- An understanding of Government funding processes required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Simply Accounting and Marcato Festival Software an asset.
- Leading and overseeing all aspects of Northern Lights Festival Boréal’s annual festival scheduled in July 2013 and July 2014, along with other events scheduled throughout the year.
Position funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Remuneration $36,400.00 per year.
